M4 Property Consultants has recruited experienced Chartered Surveyor Kieron Whitcombe to oversee the development of the new property management department of the business.
Having recently won a contract to provide property management for an extensive portfolio of commercial properties across five industrial estates in South East Wales, comprising of over 150 units let to 85 different tenants, Kieron Whitcombe has been appointed as Management Surveyor with the responsibilities of providing proactive and creative property management and asset management.
Kieron joins M4 Property Consultants from Associated British Ports where he worked for 28 years managing their land and property assets in South Wales.
The property management department will be working with a range of commercial property landlords including property companies, pension funds and private individuals. M4 Property Consultants will be helping them to realise the full potential of assets by ensuring excellent communication between landlord and tenants, undertaking planned and reactive maintenance works, responding to day to day management queries, undertaking lease renewals and rent reviews and providing a wider range of services to help enhance asset values.
The challenge of the new role appeals greatly to Kieron, he said, “This is a big opportunity for me to manage an impressive portfolio of commercial properties for a major UK landlord whilst also being part of a developing, innovative company. In addition to the property management, I will also be undertaking lease renewal and rent review work on behalf of landlords, looking to secure income and enhance property asset values.
Dan Smith, director of M4 Property Consultants is delighted to welcome Kieron to the company to manage the new contract for M4PC. He said, “With a significant contract to service immediately we needed to ensure we had a running start with the launch of the property management department. Kieron’s previous experience and background was ideally suited to the role. He has proven in the past that he has the capability of successfully managing a wide portfolio of commercial property, working to ensure that assets perform to their full potential and tenants are well looked after. He has quickly established the required systems and is already successfully managing a sizeable portfolio on behalf of clients. Kieron will be an excellent asset to the company and we are confident the property management department will grow from strength to strength over the next 12 months.”
